ROLE SUMMARY
The marketing chair will advance Bright Futures UK’s identity, broaden awareness of who we are and what we do, and increase the visibility of the charity to a wider audience.
The role involves developing and implementing a strategic marketing and communications plan alongside the senior management
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Support the development of Bright Futures UK market position and brand recognition to a variety of audiences, enabling us to achieve our aims.

Support the creation of a marketing/public relations strategy that will allow BFUK to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences including the media and key influencers.

Work with the board and senior management to recognise internal and external communication opportunities and solutions. Define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.

Oversee the ongoing development of the organisation’s marketing and communications strategy in conjunction with senior management and the board.

Oversee the implementation of the marketing and communications strategy.

External Relations
-
Act as an ambassador for the cause and charity.

Act as a spokesperson for the organisation when appropriate.

Use industry experience and contacts to help support and further Bright Futures UK marketing & comms strategy.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Experience
-
​Have wide-ranging experiences in a strategic marketing role – operating at a senior level.
-
Knowledge and experience of implementing marketing strategies to charitable/nonprofit/health-care organisations.
-
Ability to network with other members of the marketing sector – with focus on the charity sector.
-
A clear understanding of how to measure the success of marketing strategies.
-
Understand the strategic use of social media as an effective communication mechanism to support services, activities and beneficiaries.
Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to enthuse people about a vision for the future.
